Developer Genki has promised something spectacular with Ikusagami for the PS2. The gameplay in this hack-and-slash brawler is not unlike that of Koei’s Shin Sangoku Musou (a.k.a. Dynasty Warriors) series, but Genki says that Ikusagami allows up to 65,535 enemies on screen at the same time! Players take on the role of a warrior named Inugami in this brawler set in feudal-era Japan. Players get both strong and weak attacks, and chaining them together creates combos enabling the destruction of possibly hundreds of foes at once. But with 65,535 enemies on screen at any given time, even taking out a hundred at a time isn’t enough. Expect awe-inspiring visuals and blistering battlefield action when Ikusagami finally hits PS2 screens.
